Request Clearance

Employers who hire contractors, or who work as contractors, will often need clearance from WorkplaceNL as part of their contract requirements. Clearance confirms if a contractor has their own coverage and is in good standing with us. If the contractor has their own coverage, the letter clears you of responsibility if the contractor has unpaid assessments. Either you or the contractor can request a clearance letter.

To get a clearance letter, sign in to your connect account. Through connect, you can create a list of hired contractors and automatically receive a notification when a contractor’s status with WorkplaceNL changes.
