WorkplaceNL urges clients and vendors to use direct deposit to receive payments
St. John’s, NL – WorkplaceNL is urging all individuals and businesses that receive payments from WorkplaceNL, that have not already done so, to receive those payments as direct deposits instead of cheques. This will help avoid delays or interruptions in receiving payments during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This includes payments for wage-loss benefits, pension programs, home care services, employer refunds and other accounts payable payments from WorkplaceNL.
To begin receiving payments by direct deposit, injured workers with an active claim can submit a Direct Deposit Authorization for Workers Form, and vendors and businesses can submit a Direct Deposit Authorization Form. Forms are available at www.workplacenl.ca.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, WorkplaceNL is operating at reduced capacity to focus on delivering core services of the workers’ compensation system in Newfoundland and Labrador.
To practice social distancing, WorkplaceNL is serving clients by telephone, email, fax and mail only. Clients can call their case management team directly, 1.800.563.9000 or email info@workplacenl.ca.
