New cheque payment schedule begins on May 27, 2025
WorkplaceNL is changing its cheque mailing schedule, effective Tuesday, May 27, 2025. This change will only affect injured workers (“clients”) who have chosen to receive benefit payments by cheque.
After May 27, cheques for Temporary Earnings Loss benefits, travel reimbursements and some other benefits will be mailed on Tuesdays only. Currently, these cheques are mailed based on payment approval dates.
As a result, clients may receive cheques up to four business days later than their current delivery schedule. We apologize for any inconvenience this transition may cause.
There is no change to direct deposit, Extended Earning Loss (EEL) or pension replacement payment schedules.

To begin receiving payments by direct deposit, injured workers with an active claim can:

- Submit a Direct Deposit Authorization Form by mail, fax, email or in-person as noted on the form.
