Occupational Health and Safety Awareness Survey taking place beginning March 2024.
WorkplaceNL, in partnership with the Newfoundland and Labrador Statistics Agency, Department of Finance, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is conducting an Occupational Health and Safety Awareness survey. This survey will assess the level of health and safety awareness in workers, supervisors and employers in our province.
This survey focuses on employers in Newfoundland and Labrador. Employers will receive letters with a link and unique PIN to provide access to the short survey.
The results will help us to develop programs to address gaps in health and safety education and identify priority areas that require attention. Our goal is to help workers, supervisors and employers in our province to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
The injury rate is at an all-time low in our province, at 1.5 lost-time incidents per 100 workers. We recognize that further reductions in the injury rate will be increasingly challenging to achieve. Your feedback, via the survey, will provide us guidance to focus our efforts.
Your individual comments and answers are confidential and will not be provided on an individual basis to WorkplaceNL. We will only be provided with a final report of the overall survey results.
Should you receive a letter from the Newfoundland and Labrador Statistics Agency, we would appreciate you taking the time to answer the questions.
If you have any questions about the survey, please call 709.778.1000 or 1.800.563.9000.
