Safe work practices and procedures are written descriptions of how to complete a job safely, correctly and efficiently. They are an important part of an OHS Program. Employers conduct risk assessments to identify hazards and develop associated safe work practices and procedures. This workshop will discuss the difference between safe work practices and procedures; discuss how to determine what written practices and procedures are required; review the process for developing safe work practices and procedures; and provide hands-on experience developing a basic practice and procedure.
