Safe work procedures are a part of the hazard identification, evaluation and control process of an OHS Program. Employers conduct risk assessments to identify hazards associated with jobs. They do a job hazard analysis based on priority. Then, they develop safe work practices and procedures – written descriptions of how to safely complete the job.
This workshop will discuss: safe work practices versus procedures, tools to find what written practices and procedures are needed and how to develop safe work practices and procedures.
