OHS Committees, Reps and Designates: Roles and Responsibilities

Where there are 20 or more workers employed, the employer must have an occupational health and safety committee to monitor the health, safety and welfare of the workers employed at the workplace. This committee assists the employer in maintaining a healthy and safe workplace by identifying, evaluating and resolving health and safety issues.
