Benefit Adjustment for Workers

On March 8, 2023, WorkplaceNL announced that many workers are owed a benefit adjustment, plus interest. This applies to certain benefits paid between July 1, 2016 and December 31, 2022.

We apologize for our error, and appreciate your patience as we now calculate the amount we owe affected workers.

At this point, we do not have exact details on how much each worker will receive – we are now calculating that back to July 1, 2016. We expect to start to issue payments in late June 2023.

In the meantime, the FAQs below provide summary information to help you better understand if you may receive a payment.

Please note: If you have moved since receiving your last benefit payment, please update your address online using MyWorkplaceNL.
